Top performance to save children suffering from cancer
The EU Project "Overcoming Cancer with Research" generates knowledge
(Vienna, 15.05.2008) “Cancer within children is curable in three out of four cases. We intend to publicize this great triumph with the help of our initiative," explains Prof. Helmut Gadner, head of the St. Anna Kinderkrebsforschung (Children`s Cancer Research Institute) und medical director of the St. Anna Children’s Hospital, today, 15th May 2008, at the press-conference in Vienna. The focal point of the EC funded project "Overcoming Cancer with Research" relies on the highly increased survival rates as a result of recent diagnostics and treatments, due to intense lab and clinical research.
