To promote the project objectives, our project
- informs the public about clearly improved survival chances of children and adolescents with cancer
- establishes a relationship between the increased chances of a cure and the progress in the bio-medical and clinical research;
- communicates via various campaigns and appealing media the social benefits of research processes and findings;
- creates an awareness for the importantance of the networking of child cancer experts in order to improve diagnosis, treatment as well as new and continuative findings.
- highlights the importance of the continual research funding through national and international means (e.g. the EU Framework Project) and private donations: only with the help of these funds can the chances of a cure for these cancer patients increase;
- explains the necessary provisional and after treatment as well as social re-integration of former child cancer patients and appeals directly to society
In order to highlight the excellent track record of the pediatric oncology our partners analysed several successful child cancer research projects funded by the European Commission. The direct link between the notably increased survival rates of former child cancer patients and interlinked research activities should be illustrated on the basis basis of the transparently portrayed analysis.
